Ornament Wreath

Ornament Wreath

Let me just start out by saying that, Yes, there are a TON of ways to make a ornament wreath. Just type it in on Pinterest and you will be overwhelmed. I will also say that I tried a few of them and they didn’t work. Especially the wire hanger one. Don’t get frustrated and buy one. They can be $50-$100 bucks. I made this one for about $30. Here is what you will need to get started with:

Items:
Foam wreath
Hot glue gun & sticks
Wide ribbon
LOTS of ornaments in varying sizes (Wait until they go on sale and use a coupon. I got mine from Target & Michael’s)
Cheap $1 tablecloth – optional
(If you would like to keep glitter from getting all over your house then you can spread the tablecloth down before you start. Then just toss when you are done.)

Spread your plastic and get all your items together. Plug in your glue gun and open all the ornament packages.

Take your ribbon and loop around your wreath. Tie it in a knot to create a “hanger”.

Once your glue is hot start placing your ornaments randomly over the wreath. I started with the larger ones first. Then went to medium and small. It is somewhat like a puzzle. Keep going until you cover the whole wreath. If you have glue strings hanging randomly then just hit it with a blow dryer for a few seconds and they disappear. 🙂

Note: Do not store in a attic. If the glue gets very hot the ornaments will separate.

(I apologize for not having step by step pictures. I did not have a blog when I made this 2 years ago.)
